Maps and GIS data are an important component of SEMCOG’s planning efforts. The Map Catalog displays GIS data and statistics in map format. Some maps have additional information (i.e., metadata) and the ability to download the data in ESRI's shapefile format. Maps are divided into the following categories: Environment and Land Use, Demographic, Jurisdiction, and Transportation.

- Interactive Transportation Data Map
- The SEMCOG Transportation Data Map provides a quick, interactive way to view the transportation data SEMCOG collects on the road system in Southeast Michigan. Detailed information on road segments, intersections, transportation projects, corridor priorities, environmental sensitivity, and current freeway traffic can be easily viewed at the regional or local level.
- Local Roads Eligible for Federal-Aid Expenditures by Local Agencies, Southeast Michigan
- This map shows city and county roads eligible for federal-aid funding.
- Federal Stimulus Transportation Projects, Southeast Michigan
- The map shows those proposed improvements to the transportation system based on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
- Current Transit Routes, Southeast Michigan, 2009
- This map details fixed transit service in Southeast Michigan. Major transit providers include the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT), Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART), and Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (AATA). Additional service is provided by the Blue Water Area Transportation Commission (BWATC) in the Port Huron urbanized area, the Lake Erie Transit Commission (LETC) serving Monroe County, and Livingston Essential Transportation Services (LETS) in Livingston County.
- Aid Roads, Southeast Michigan
- In this map, roadways have been grouped by National Functional Classification (NFC) to show State Trunklines, County Primary Roads, City Major Roads, and roads that are not eligible for Federal Aid. The Federal Aid Urban Boundary (FAUB) is provided as an additional reference.
- Michigan, Fiscal Year 2005 - 2030
- Shows mappable projects included in the 2030 Regional Transportation Plan for Southeast Michigan for FY 2005-2030. Projects include adopted amendments or proposed in November 2008. County boundaries, highways, and the federal-aid urban boundary are also shown.
- Transportation Analysis Zones (TAZ), Southeast Michigan, 2000
- 2000 Traffic Analysis Zones for Southeast Michigan were created using the Michigan Geographic Framework Census Geography to support the Regional Development Forecast and Regional Transportation Plan.
- Michigan Geographic Framework, Version 8, Southeast Michigan
- This data represents the seven county region in Southeast Michigan projected to State Plane, NAD83 HARN, International Feet. The dataset contains features including roads, rivers, lakes, streams, railroads, political jurisdiction boundaries, school district boundaries, census area tabulation boundaries and legislative district boundaries.
